“This collection is inspired by my growing up Muslim in Northern Nigeria with the expectations that naturally every girl or lady lives with. I find being a ‘lady’ the closest interpretation to this age-old tradition that many of us live with words of the designer herself…
According to her this collection titled “Nuanced” was just a reflection of her childhood growing up in northern Nigeria, where she was only allowed to do this a certain way,she talks about this collection helping her channel the struggles she faced unlearning things she learnt as a child and becoming an adult, and finally growing into our own selves setting personal standards and believes.
Do enjoy the look book.
